Methodology

How TickerFuse selects and reviews stocks

Four public steps. Exact factor weights stay internal. Counts below come from the latest published session; a missing count is left blank.

01

Universe and quality

Common stocks and ADRs on NYSE and NASDAQ. Price, dollar volume and a complete recent tape. Not OTC, ETFs or warrants.

02

Quantitative ranking

Every eligible name is scored on the tape. Compression and accumulation on one side; relative volume, closeness to a 20-session high, and strength versus SPY on the other.

03

Review of candidates

Only the shortlist is read for dated news. The AI may keep the quantitative leader, reorder, or refuse the day. A change of #1 needs a stored reason.

04

Selection or none

One name is published, or NO PICK. Publishing nothing is part of the method.

Shared rules

  • Horizon is 5–30 market sessions.
  • We publish after the US close. The public thesis is judged from the next session’s open — only if that open was still in the future when we published.
  • NO PICK is a valid result.
  • The Fuse Score is a mix of two independent scores, not a probability that the stock will rise.

Sources, AI and corrections

US end-of-day prices and volume come from Massive. A language model reviews only the quantitative top 10 and dated news; it does not scan the whole market. TickerFuse does not rewrite a published session. If an error is found later, a dated note is added and the original thesis stays. This is independent research, not personalised advice, and it has no paid relationship with the companies it publishes.
